This article is for Students who need to access GoReact assignments in Canvas. Note that GoReact assignments are only accessible to you through your instructor's chosen learning management system: Login to Canvas. Your instructor's GoReact assignments are not accessible through goreact.com.
Article Overview
GoReact offers a few different ways for you to share your visual aids while you record yourself presenting. We encourage you to read the entire article, but want to draw your attention to two different recording scenarios: If recording with only one monitor, follow steps from 1.5.1 for converting PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations into PDF files you can then upload into GoReact. If you are recording with two or more monitors, follow from step 2, Record or Upload your Video to GoReact.
1. Accessing GoReact from a Canvas Course.
Select the Modules tab on the left.
Choose the GoReact assignment from a module by selecting the text.
Select the gray Load button toward the bottom of the GoReact assignment.
3. Enter a Title, then Select Add PDF Slides.
Follow your instructor's GoReact assignment directions to enter proper video titles. Choosing ADD PDF SLIDES will allow you to upload PowerPoint presentation files you can convert into PDF format to load directly into GoReact. This is most useful if you are only using a laptop and have no other screen to share slides with when needing to record a speech with visual aids in GoReact.
3.1. Choose Add PDF Slides
Follow steps 1.5.1 through 1.6, if you are using only one monitor to record yourself and share your slides while you present in GoReact. If using two or more monitors jump to Record or Upload your Video to GoReact.
Drag your PDF slides into the upload space.
GoReact has a link to how to convert slides to PDF in the bottom left corner of this upload screen.
Select START to upload the PDF slides.
Select CONTINUE.
4. Read your Instructor's Recording and Feedback Instructions
Your instructor may or may not have included the video recording instructions inside the GoReact assignment. If recording instructions are not popping up in GoReact, refer to your instructor's Canvas assignment page. Select Continue to proceed.
Select Record and CONTINUE TO RECORDER.
GoReact then prompts you with instructions to use the arrows to advance slides while presenting. You can read the message, then select Got It! to continue.
When you are ready, you can select the record button to begin recording. You can change slides by either using the left and right arrows on either side of the slide or choose the slide preview under the words Previous or Next to navigate through your slide presentation.
